1) BROAD SPECTRUM PROBIOTICS TheralacPRO is a high-quality probiotic supplement containing six naturally occurring, beneficial bacterial strains at 50 billion colony forming units (CFU)/capsule. The probiotic composition is a balance of four Lactobacilli and two Bifidobacterium strains, chosen for efficacy and compatibility. Lactobacillus bacteria are facultative and tolerate the presence of oxygen which allows for activity in the small intestine. Bifidobacteria are anaerobic and proliferate in the absence of oxygen in the colon. Together, this synergistic blend of probiotics colonizes the entire G.I. tract, supporting digestive and immune health*.

2) PATENTED PREBIOTIC ACTIVITY TheralacPRO contains LactoStim®, a unique prebiotic, that provides nutrition and rehydrates the fragile bacterial membranes of the dry probiotic cells, increasing their bioavailability and effectiveness. This is measured by faster growth rates and lactic acid production. Probiotic bacteria are the minority and are up against multi-trillions of other bacteria and need help to stay competitive. LactoStim is protected by five U.S. patents and is composed of sunflower lecithin and oleic acid, two food-grade natural lipids.

3) PATENTED DELIVERY PROTECTION The probiotics in TheralacPRO are protected from harsh stomach acid by sodium alginate which is a carbohydrate derived from kelp, a type of seaweed. An alginic acid shell forms in the stomach at low pH and dissolves into a gel matrix in the small intestine at a higher pH. This allows the acid-sensitive probiotics to reach the intestinal tract alive and at full strength. Without proper protection, most of the probiotics will not survive past the stomach or the duodenum. This delivery method is protected by two U.S. patents.

For children, we recommend the powdered form probiotic Granular Theralac®, however, TheralacPRO capsules can be opened and stirred into yogurt, apple sauce, or any other soft food and given to anyone that has difficulty swallowing capsules.

7) ADVERSE REACTIONS Probiotic bacteria in the Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium genera are generally recognized as safe (G.R.A.S.) by the United States FDA.
